Question 1

Who is TerraTecton for?

Accepted Answer

UK letting agencies that manage rented homes. TerraTecton works from the data already in your property management system (PMS). Contact us about yours.

Question 2

Does TerraTecton send messages without anyone checking?

Accepted Answer

No. A person on the agency's team approves every arrears chase list and every landlord batch before anything is sent. Each send also re-checks the latest PMS data, so a tenant who has cleared their balance is not chased, and the agency can hold all chasing with one switch.

Question 3

How are rent arrears chased?

Accepted Answer

TerraTecton builds a chase list from the agency's daily PMS data. Once approved, the tenant and guarantor are contacted by email and SMS in the agency's name, with a follow-up every three days until someone replies. Replies arrive in a shared inbox matched to the tenancy.

Question 4

Which certificates does TerraTecton track?

Accepted Answer

Gas Safety, EICR and EPC. Landlords with certificates coming up for renewal are written to in one approved batch, their yes or no is recorded, the renewal is booked, the tenant is told, and the new date is queued for the PMS after a person checks it.

Question 5

What evidence does TerraTecton keep?

Accepted Answer

Every message sent, every approval and every reply is recorded with who did it and when, on a tamper-evident record. If a tenant disputes a chase or an ombudsman asks what happened, the agency can show it.
